Dr. Pauline Lu has practiced dentistry and served the Santa Clara community since the year of 2000. Dr. Lu provides family dentistry for patients of all ages, as well as advanced technology in cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Lu was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from Kaimuki High School with Magna Cum Laude and an Award in Sciences. Dr. Lu was one of ten students in the whole state who were accepted into the University of Hawaii with Dean’s Scholarships. She has also received a Kokua Po’okela Award from Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu for 8 years of volunteer services.
Dr. Lu graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree with Honor in Music. For her undergraduate studies, she majored in both music and pre-medicine. She taught music at the University of Hawaii for three years and taught piano for eight years privately before relocating to California for dental school training.
Dr. Lu received her dental education at one of the nation’s most prestigious dental schools; the University of California, San Francisco, with a Bachelor’s and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She is also certified in Dental Laser and Invisalign among several other advanced dental technologies. Dr. Lu believes in continuing education. She puts in extra effort and time after office hours in learning the newest technology, and receiving advanced training in various aspects of dentistry.
Dr. Lu also gives back to the community by volunteering at various local charity groups and providing care to the community's underprivileged population. Dr. Lu is characterized by her patients as caring, patient, and honest. She always has the patients' best interest in mind, and strives to provide patients with excellent care.
